Data deletion
Disconnect accounts
and request deletion.
These instructions explain how to stop Olyven from accessing a connected platform and how to request deletion of personal information and platform data associated with your account or workspace.
1. Disconnect the integration
Where the control is available in the product, open the connected-accounts or integrations area in your Olyven workspace, select the relevant LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, or X connection, and choose the option to disconnect or revoke it. This prevents future API access using that connection.
You may also revoke Olyven directly in the platform's account settings. Platform menus may change, but the relevant controls are generally located in the following areas:
- LinkedIn: Settings & Privacy, then the permitted or connected services area.
- Facebook and Instagram: Accounts Center, Apps and Websites, Business Integrations, or the corresponding business-account settings.
- X: Settings and privacy, Security and account access, Apps and sessions, then Connected apps.
Revoking access on a platform stops Olyven from retrieving new data, but it may not by itself delete data that was previously and lawfully stored. Follow the request process below for deletion from Olyven systems.
2. Submit a deletion request
Email info@olyven.co with the subject Data Deletion Request and include:
- the email address associated with your Olyven account;
- the organization or workspace name;
- the connected platform or platforms involved;
- whether you request deletion of a specific integration, specific data, or the entire Olyven account; and
- any information needed to locate the connection without sending passwords, access tokens, or other secrets.
We may request reasonable information to verify your identity, organizational authority, and the scope of the request. For security, do not email platform passwords, API keys, or access tokens.
3. What Olyven will do
After verification and subject to applicable law, Olyven will:
- disable the relevant connection and stop collecting new data;
- delete or invalidate stored access and refresh tokens;
- delete or de-identify personal information and connected-platform data covered by the request;
- instruct relevant service providers to delete covered information where required;
- retain only information that must be preserved for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or dispute purposes; and
- send confirmation when the request has been completed or explain any lawful limitation.
4. Platform-specific processing
Olyven stops collecting LinkedIn Marketing Data after the authorized customer no longer receives the related service or requests that access stop. Stored LinkedIn Marketing Data covered by a qualifying request is permanently deleted within the timeframe required by LinkedIn, currently 10 days or less. Certain LinkedIn member profile and activity data may be subject to shorter storage limits and will be deleted according to those limits.
Meta: Facebook and Instagram
Olyven deletes or de-identifies Meta Platform Data when it is no longer necessary for the authorized purpose, when the user removes the integration, when deletion is requested, or when Meta directs deletion, subject to applicable law and any permitted retention. This page may be supplied to Meta as Olyven's public user-data deletion instructions URL.
X
If X Content is deleted, modified, protected, suspended, withheld, or otherwise removed on X, Olyven will update or delete the corresponding stored content as soon as reasonably possible and, when required, within 24 hours after a request from X or the applicable account owner. If Olyven's X API access terminates, X data will be permanently deleted within the period required by the X Developer Agreement, currently no later than 10 business days.
If a platform changes its requirements, the newer, shorter, or more protective requirement will control to the extent applicable.
5. Content already published on a platform
Deleting information from Olyven does not necessarily delete posts, advertisements, messages, forms, leads, or other content already stored by LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, or X. To remove content from the platform itself, use that platform's deletion controls or contact the platform directly. Where an Olyven feature supports deletion and you authorize it, Olyven may submit the deletion action on your behalf.
6. Backups and legally required records
Covered data may remain temporarily in encrypted or access-restricted backups until overwritten through the standard backup cycle. Data retained because of a legal obligation, security investigation, fraud prevention, accounting requirement, or dispute is isolated from ordinary product use and deleted when the retention basis ends.
7. Other privacy rights
A deletion request may also be treated as a request under applicable privacy law. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights to access, correct, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information. See the Olyven Privacy Policy for more information.
